Vision
Back
Al-Bustan
strives to partner with parents to prepare students for all types of
future success by focusing on a love for and understanding of Islam.
Al Bustan stresses the comprehensive nature of Islam and
integrates it into all areas of academic development, social
interaction, and personal growth and behavior.
Through this balanced focus, we hope to guide students to have
a strong relationship with their Creator, balanced and comprehensive
personal development, and a healthy connection with all parts of the
community. Promoting
excellence in achievement and in manners will help enable children to
represent Islam honorably in American society.

Licensing
and accreditation
Back
Since its first days of operation in October 2004, Al Bustan has been licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (formally OCCS).
This licensing indicates that our physical facilities, staff,
curriculum, and governing policies and procedures meet all the
requirements for a licensed day care.
To meet the needs of families, we expanded the original license
to include extended hours each day and a year-round program.
After completing the requisite time period and enrollment level, we have begun the initial steps of pursuing accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
NAEYC accreditation is the highest level of distinction for
early childhood settings. We are grateful to the Cambridge Partnership Program for their technical support in helping us initiate this self-study.
