Malik Academy is an Islamic school that started in the Boston
area in 2004. Malik Academy focuses on providing high
quality academics in addition to Islamic and Arabic studies.
Job Openings for 2008/2009 (Some positions start in summer):
Elementary School Teacher:
Applicant should have previous related experience in teaching in elementary schools within North America, a degree in education, be able to integrate Islamic values and behavior into classroom rituals, be able to create a stimulating learning environment for different children’s needs, be able to relate to families and children, be able to be cooperate and be flexible with staff, and have strong English communication skills with proficiency of a second language preferred.
Duties include:
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and communicate areas of concern to director and the parents.
- Maintain records or portfolios of student work.
Substitute Teacher:
Applicant should have previous related experience in teaching in elementary schools within North America or is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care, be able to integrate Islamic values and behavior into classroom rituals, be able to create a stimulating learning environment for different children’s needs, be able to relate to families and children, be able to be cooperate and be flexible with staff, and have strong English communication skills with proficiency of a second language preferred.
