In the early days of Mecca, when the Ka’bah was being rebuilt, a fierce disagreement broke out among the Quraysh tribes: Who would have the honor of placing the sacred Black Stone? Conflict loomed — until the young Muhammad (peace be upon him) proposed a solution rooted in unity. He placed the Black Stone on a cloth and invited leaders of each tribe to lift it together. With this act, he turned division into collaboration, and each tribe took part in raising what was sacred.
The Blackstone Islamic Education Collaborative (BIEC) is founded in the same spirit — where families, educators, and community members come together to build something sacred: a home for Islamic education and holistic growth.
