Our Leadership

Mrs. Walaa Mohamed is the Director of Al-Bustan Preschool, bringing over 16 years of experience in the field of Education. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Professional Diploma in Special Education, and is a licensed lead teacher and director through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.

With a career spanning 10 years in Egypt and 6 years at Al-Bustan Preschool, Mrs. Mohamed has developed extensive expertise in early childhood education. She is known for her compassionate, reliable, and positive approach to teaching and leadership. Her passion for fostering a nurturing learning environment for young children is at the heart of her work.

Dr.  Mona Abo-Zena, President, Malik Academy Board of Directors. Dr. Abo-Zena earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Chicago and a Master’s from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She recently completed her doctoral studies at the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development at Tufts University. She has accumulated 14 years of leadership experience in both public and private schools and academia.
